Thrive is a specific way of working with all children that supports emotional and social well-being.
The Thrive Approach is used within our whole school setting, providing strategies and activities to help our children with life and learning. Tara Yorke is the lead Thrive practitioner and we are in the process of having another member of staff, Mrs. Jo Wilson, trained as a licenced practitioner too.
We use Thrive-Online to screen children in their class or work group. The results help us to plan our social and emotional curriculum. We adapt what we teach to best meet the needs that are indicated. We also use Thrive-Online to assess and develop action plans for individual or smaller groups of children. This ensures that the adults working with them understand their individual or group needs and are able to meet these most effectively.
