Throughout the academic year the TG PTA hold various fund raising events, which are great fun for all the family!
As a small school, in order to successfully enhance our children's education and experience of school, we really need all of our families to get involved with the PTA, whether it's taking on an event to organise, sourcing raffle prizes, or helping out on a stall for half an hour. You really can make a difference.
Total income for the year of £10,463 (2018: £6,714) was generated as follows.
Fundraising Event Income was £1,483 higher than prior year at £6,852 (2018: £5,369). The additional funds were generated as follows:
Donations: Temple Grafton School is unable to claim Gift Aid on any donations received as the school is not a registered charity. The PTA has charitable status and is registered with the HMRC to claim Gift Aid.
A number of parents regularly donate to the School via standing orders to the PTA. Income from regular givers was £220 (2018: £245).
The school raised £1,560 in sponsorship to purchase new chairs for all of the classrooms. The PTA were able to claim £385 of gift aid to boost the total too £1,945.
Donations at school events (Carol Singing and Christmas Plays) were £582 (2018: £603). These “bucket” collections and the associated gift aid claimed are donated back to the School by the PTA.
Gift Aid from the Inland Revenue was £1,249 (2018: £497). The increase is due to the following events which were not run last year - sponsored chairs of £385, Smarties tube donations of £121 and film night (ticket prices are a donation) of £257.
If you would like to get more involved with the PTA, please come along to our next meeting, which is held at The Blue Boar.
